99% of People Fail Without This Goal-Setting Trick—Are You One of Them?
In today's fast-paced world, setting goals and practising discipline are mandatory for success, but do we achieve all goals? We all set ambitions and have the desire to achieve certain standards in our lives. You can say materialistic or whatever. But how does it matter? The important thing is whether we have achieved it or not.
But how do we set our goals? We set New Year's resolutions every year, try disciplined routines, and whatnot, but still find them not very helpful.
Well, I learned this method while learning digital marketing, and thought to myself, isn't this SMART method we can apply in all our lives? This method provides a structured and effective way to achieve and turn dreams into reality. But what exactly SMART goals, and why should each one of us follow them?
SMART Goals:
1. S- Specific: Clear and well-defined goals.
2. M- Measurable: Trackable and quantifiable.
3. A- Achievable: Realistic and attainable.
4. R- Relevant: Aligned with your goals, personally or professionally.
5. T- Time-bound: Deadline for completion.
Making goal setting more practical and effective, is one of the ways to create a roadmap for major or minor achievements, personally or within the organization. We often set unrealistic dreams or goals and then try to achieve them without even realizing that it affects our self-esteem negatively and demotivates us from our goal.
Making the goalpost clear provides clarity and focus to achieve it. It creates motivation and keeps us in high spirits, eventually reducing our stress. We all have different ways of learning and achieving things in our lives: I go by, I'm either a slave or a boss; there's no in-between. I believe when you are in between, you often tend to be corrupt, start bending your ways, and eventually move away from your goal and start surviving instead of learning or thriving.
How to Implement SMART Goals in Your Life
Start Small: Begin with short-term goals and gradually move to bigger ones.
Write Them Down: Documenting goals increases commitment and accountability.
Review Regularly: Evaluate progress and make necessary adjustments.
Stay Flexible: Adapt to changes and refine goals if needed.
NOW, no more excuses; take control of your life!
